We deliberately set out to enjoy an afternoon lunch at Puncak Marapi , watch the sun set behind the hills .<br /> <br /> Usually after the End Semester Examination ( UAS ) is completed , I would take a trip with friends, both in the region and outside the region itself . However , this semester I do not have much time for vacation .<br /> <br /> Sure enough , in this semester we , the students of 2010 are required to do the UNP Psychology Psychology Internship for 10 weeks . However , we still were given a few weeks for a vacation , preparing and hanging out with family .<br /> <br /> It was strange if this opportunity is not filled with holiday with friends . So we decided to climb the mountain . In addition to closer of our locations in Bukittinggi , mountain climbing does not require a long time . Be our vacation to Mount Marapi , West Sumatra .<br /> <br /> We set off on June 6, 2013 , at 11.00 am . From Bukittinggi we use public transportation to the blue New Koto . If requested , this public transportation willing to take us up to the checkpoint where to report before starting the adventure . Public transportation fare Rp . 5000 , -/orang . Travel time is approximately 30 minutes .<br /> <br /> As reported , we sign the guest book containing the names of those who go climbing , phone number and the number of families who could be contacted . Truly an amazing sight until the stars came out and filled the valley of the city lights .<br /> <br /> We spent the night in the rock . The next morning we went on a trip to enjoy the summit . Unfortunately , we did not get a sunrise .<br /> <br /> If you still have power , we can come into play at Edelweiss Park which is not so far away , but the terrain is quite difficult . I myself do not get to the park , because my shortness of breath during a trip by the smell of sulfur .<br /> <br /> In total , long trip for beginners about 4-5 hours .
